About · Founded 2022 · Austin, TX

Two founders. One bar program.

Uphill Taps is a husband-and-wife mobile bar studio designing crafted bar service for weddings, brand activations, and private events across Austin and the Texas Hill Country. Founded in 2022 by Veronica and Augusto Fossi.

No. 01 · The Origin

How we got here.

Uphill Taps started with one Italian three-wheeler and the question every new business has to answer for itself: what would we do differently?

For us, the answer was specific. Most mobile bar service is generic — a bar shows up, drinks get poured, the night ends. We wanted to build something more designed than that. A program where the cocktails get tailored to the event. Where the bar itself is part of the styling. Where the people behind it have been trained, not just hired.

We launched in 2022 with the Piaggio Tap Bar — a vintage cream Ape with six working taps and a cargo door that opens into a working bar. Within a year we'd added Satellite Bar Stations to fit venues without a built-in bar, and then Onsite Bartending for venues that already had one. Same standard across all three.

We're an Austin-based mobile bar. Close enough to downtown to handle city events, close enough to the Hill Country to know the venues by name.

Brand, Operations & Client Relations

Veronica runs the front of the studio. She's the one reading inquiries when they come in, walking through the design of every event, and making the call on what the bar should look like for your day — the florals, the bar styling, the menu cards, the way the program reads.

Her background is in hospitality and event design — years spent working directly with clients, managing every detail of the guest experience from the ground up. She brings that same attention to detail to every Uphill Taps event, whether the founders are on-site or whether the team is running the night.

"The bar should disappear into the event. The drinks shouldn't."

Beverage Program & Service Standards

Augusto runs the bar program — designing each event's cocktail menu, building the batching and prep system that lets one bartender pour with the speed of three, and training the team to the standard the studio operates at.

His background is in hospitality and beverage operations — years running floors and bar programs, learning the rhythm that lets one bartender pour with the speed of three. The Piaggio is an extension of that craft — a proper Italian Ape, restored and outfitted as a working bar, parked in the Texas Hill Country.

"Calm service. Specific drinks. The two things every bar program should get right."

No. 03 · How We Work

The standard travels with the team.

We don't claim that one of us is personally bartending every event. We claim something better — that the standard you'd get if we were is the standard our team delivers, every time.

  1. 01

Designed by us. Executed by trained team.

Every menu, every bar setup, every service plan starts with one of us. Our bartenders carry that work onto the floor. They're TABC-certified, trained to our spec, and held to the same standards we hold ourselves to.

  2. 02

    Specific over generic.

No house menu. No default cocktails. Every event gets a custom program — drinks designed to the season, the venue, the palette of your day. The list is yours, not borrowed.

  3. 03

    Calm service.

The bar should disappear into the night. No slow lines, no service drama, no improvised fixes mid-event. We over-prepare so the night reads effortless.

  4. 04

    Local. Specific to here.

We know this region — the venues in Dripping Springs, Wimberley, and Marble Falls; the way a March wedding at Lake Travis behaves differently than an October one in Fredericksburg; the planners and florists and photographers we'll be working alongside. Knowing where we're working makes the service better.

No. 04 · The Studio

Based in Austin.

We're an Austin-based mobile bar. The Piaggio lives here. The Satellite stations and onsite kits stage from here. Most of our work is within driving distance of the city — though the right event will pull us further.

We don't operate a public storefront, so the fastest way to reach us is by phone or email. Veronica or Augusto reads everything that comes in.
